Campus Partners
Accountability and Independent Oversight
At UC San Diego, creating accountable spaces involves inviting staff, faculty and students alike to the table to authentically explore the histories, community contexts and lived experiences that shape the improvement of health and safety resources on campus. This is particularly important, for individuals and communities that are most impacted by inequities. Workgroups, standing committees and campus offices strive to support accountability and meaningful outsight through ongoing collaboration and information sharing to support the interests of the community being directly reflected in campus culture, policies and procedures.
Members serve as connectors with their representative groups, voice their expertise and perspectives alongside colleagues and senior administrators, identify opportunities to take action and share updates from their communities of practice with the committee membership and the campus at large.
